Rachel Kuklinski

Associate

Rachel is an Associate in the firm and is an experienced property and commercial lawyer. Rachel works from both our Queenstown and Wānaka offices.

Rachel’s property expertise includes advising clients on residential and rural property sale and purchase transactions, license to occupy and occupation right agreements, contract reviews and financing. Rachel also advises on asset planning and protection and helps clients navigate the intricacies of relationship property and estate planning, including advising on trusts, wills and enduring powers of attorney.

Rachel also advises on commercial property transactions, including large-scale subdivisions and developments, leasing, commercial contracts and the sale and purchase of businesses.

Rachel completed a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts majoring in History and minoring in Deaf Studies at Victoria University of Wellington. Rachel began her legal career with a leading full-service law firm based in Wellington with reach across the upper South Island.

Rachel is fluent in New Zealand Sign Language and can support the firm’s clients with spoken language interpretation, providing greater confidence for clients who rely on these services. Work highlights include advocating for Deaf survivors to participate in the Abuse in Care Royal Commission of Inquiry.

Rachel is also an advocate in her community; she supports several charities and community initiatives and has previously supported the Wellington Community Justice Project as a member of their Law Reform and Advocacy team. She maintains a strong interest in family-related matters and has experience with separation and property sharing agreements.
