Peter is a property and construction expert who offers his clients his additional expertise in broader commercial matters.  His solution-focused approach ensures that he delivers successful outcomes.

Peter’s experience includes advising on some of the region’s biggest and most ambitious property developments. Peter advises his clients on subdivisions, buying and selling real estate, construction, leasing, finance and shareholder arrangements. He has experience in all areas of property, including projects, office and retail leasing, residential, golf course developments, vineyards and farms. 

Peter is also recognised for his in-depth knowledge of the Overseas Investment Act 2005 and has acted on a number of high profile applications to the Overseas Investment Office.

Peter’s clients include leading companies and developers, as well as high net worth individuals. He is known as a problem solver and for his ability to find strategic solutions to complex issues.

    Advising Skyline on the $200+ million redevelopment of its Queenstown gondola, terminals and carpark building, including negotiation of the construction contracts and financing aspects.

  • Lakeview

    Acting for the developer of the Lakeview Taumata project in Queenstown on its structuring, subdivision and sales.

  • Ayrburn / Waterfall Park

    Acting on the subdivision and resource consenting aspects of the Ayrburn and Waterfall Park projects.

  • Gibbston Valley Resort

    Advising Gibbston Valley Resort on all aspects of its resort development, including the subdivision, residents’ society, financing and sales, as well as Overseas Investment Act considerations.

  • Pure Tūroa

    Advised PureTūroa on its acquisition of the Tūroa ski area from Ruapehu Alpine Lifts Limited.

  • SBS Bank

    Acting for SBS Bank on its commercial leasing and property matters throughout New Zealand.

  • Overseas purchaser of Tiki Corner, Queenstown

    Advised an overseas purchaser on its acquisition of the Tiki Corner retail building, fronting Beach, Rees and Shotover Streets, being Queenstown CBD’s largest single-asset retail building sale.

  • O’Connells, Queenstown

    Advised Skyline on its major redevelopment and leasing of the O'Connells Shopping Centre in Queenstown.

  • Holiday Inn Remarkables Park

    Acted for the developer of the Holiday Inn Remarkables Park, including negotiating the construction contract, hotel management arrangements with IHG, and finance arrangements.

  • Precinct Properties

    Advised Precinct Properties on its retail leasing project at Commercial Bay, Auckland, including negotiating leases with its major brand tenants.

  • ANZ

    Acted for ANZ in respect of its funding of numerous residential property developments throughout New Zealand.
