Lucy King
Senior Solicitor
Lucy is a Senior Solicitor in Todd Walker’s resource management team in our Queenstown office, working alongside Principal Rosie Hill and Senior Associate Ben Gresson.
Originally from the Bay of Plenty, Lucy completed her undergraduate and law studies at the University of Otago in Dunedin and later pursued postgraduate planning studies through Massey University.
Before joining Todd Walker, Lucy spent five years as a Heritage Consultant/Planner in Arrowtown. During this time, she prepared resource consent applications, provided internal planning support and advice, had involvement in plan change processes, provided peer review services to District Councils, and also participated in the Council hearing process.
Lucy also worked as a policy advisor and an in-house lawyer in the public sector prior to making the move to Queenstown. In these roles, she gained policy and public law experience that is relevant to the upcoming resource management reforms.
Outside the office, you’ll find Lucy and her family making the most of the great Queenstown outdoors as she enjoys skiing, running and hiking.
