Gemma is a commercial law specialist. Based in our Queenstown office, Gemma regularly acts for a wide range of clients, from start-up businesses to large-scale commercial clients. Gemma has particular expertise in advising on commercial contracts, sales and purchases, shareholder/joint venture agreements, financing, construction contracts and technology/intellectual property.

Gemma focuses on providing straightforward and strategic commercial legal advice. She aims to help create a solid legal foundation for new and existing businesses so they get the best head start, execute their plans and are set up for long-term success.

After graduating from the University of Canterbury, Gemma spent her first five and a half years practising at law firms in Christchurch. She then spent two years working overseas in British Columbia, Canada, before returning to New Zealand to be closer to her family and joining Todd Walker.

Outside of work, Gemma enjoys time outdoors through running, mountain biking and tramping.
