Emma is an Associate Registered Legal Executive based in Todd Walker’s Wānaka office.

Emma specialises in assisting clients in the sale, purchase and refinancing of residential property, commercial leasing and large-scale conveyancing transactions for subdivisions, as well as assisting clients with their personal estate planning, including drafting wills and powers of attorney.

Emma is also a specialist in trust management and assists the firm with managing its trust client portfolio. She is an expert in general trust and private client matters, including establishing and administering trusts, gifting, trustee’s duties and asset planning and protection.

Emma has over 20 years of experience in the legal profession. She completed her Legal Executive qualification while working for a local general practice law firm, alongside Principal Graeme Todd, during part of this time. Emma has since gone on to become a Fellow Member of the New Zealand Institute of Legal Executives and an Associate Member of the New Zealand Law Society.

Emma finds assisting clients with legal matters extremely rewarding. She especially enjoys helping first home buyers get into a property, and seeing the excitement on their faces once it’s all complete.

Born and bred in Wānaka, Emma has fantastic knowledge of the local Wānaka and wider Central Otago area. Emma is involved in a number of local Committees in the district, including being a member of the Equestrian Committee for the Wānaka A&P Show and Secretary for the Wānaka Primary School PTA.

In her spare time, Emma enjoys time with her two young children and being outside and active, whether running, biking, wakeboarding or horse riding.
