Emily Downey is a Solicitor with Todd Walker’s litigation team.

Based in our Queenstown office, she is working as part of the firm’s civil litigation team, assisting Principal Michael Walker and senior members of our civil team, including Ben Gresson and Ashley Dawson-Swale.

Emily assists with matters including commercial contract disputes, construction and building disputes and breaches of contract. She works on legal research, document drafting, preparing legal opinions and preparing for court hearings.

Emily grew up in Alexandra and studied in Dunedin. She went on to complete both a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Politics at the University of Otago. 

Outside of work, Emily enjoys all the great things Central Otago has to offer, particularly outdoor activities such as running and hiking.
